MANUFACTURING

The Manufacturing Systems laboratory is equipped to teach students the fundamentals of manufacturing from manual part production and assembly to complete CIM production. Manufacturing fundamentals, time/motion study, plant layout, material handling, processing, and advanced concepts are taught in this facility. Most pieces of equipment are movable allowing students freedom in setting up production lines for detailed study. A CIM cell in this laboratory includes several robots, computer simulation equipment, an N/C turning center, a plastic injection press, and a complete storage retrieval system.
