The SAE Supermileage competition is an International Collegiate design competition. Students are presented with a challenging design project that involves the development and construction of a single person, fuel-efficient vehicle. Once the vehicles are completed they will compete for the highest possible fuel economy, with the vehicle obtaining the highest miles per gallon winning the event. Teams have the opportunity to set a world fuel economy record at the Marshall Michigan track, as well as raise awareness of the possibilities for fuel economy improvements in industry.
