Chipperwa Performance is the team name for the Society of Automotive Engineers chapter at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, MI we are open to all university majors. Yearly dues are only $10.00 paid to SAE international. The club office is located in IETÂ 133 and we have weekly meetings in IET129 @ 7:00 pm Wednesdays. We compete in several international Xtreme engineering competitions around the country. This year we will be traveling to Tennessee, IIllinois, and Quebec, Canada and we will compete with up to 140 international teams for our Baja Races! Xtreme Engineering is what you get with the SAE Collegiate Design Competitions. Go beyond textbook theory by designing, building and testing the performance of a real vehicle. Join other students from around the globe in exciting and intense competitions. We also attend monthly section meetings/engineering presentations with the Mid-Michigan Section of SAE. stop by our office for details on transportation to these meetings.
